I’d drive it as is, get some plexiglass for rear opening, maybe make a ‘ camino out of it.

At least the 76 in my area just needed floor pans and seats. But it was also $300 more.

I think you’d probably get pulled over and ticketed, that’s why the guy says he just drives it in alleys. DC/MD and VA don’t fuck around - I grew up there.

No idea. That would total a modern car, I believe, but with how those were built? No clue.

You could spend 3000 and find one in decent to good condition and drive it as is.
